After breakfast, start a guided tour of Kathmandu's important UNESCO World Heritage landmarks. Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal's most sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, standing beside the holy Bagmati River. Continue to Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, one of Nepal's oldest Buddhist sites with panoramic views of the valley. Begin an enriching day combining nature, culture, and heritage. Drive to Nagarkot, a scenic hill station known for Himalayan sunrise views, pine forests, terraced fields, and peaceful walking trails. Enjoy an easy 3–4 hour hike toward Changu Narayan Temple, the oldest known Hindu temple still in use in Nepal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Continue to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, famous for its 55-Window Palace, Nyatapola Temple, Golden Gate, brick-paved alleys, courtyards, artisans, and living Newari heritage. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Pokhara by private car through the beautiful Nepalese countryside, with the journey taking approximately seven to eight hours. An optional flight to Pokhara may also be arranged. Pokhara, nestled beside Phewa Lake and framed by the Annapurna range, is known as the gateway to the Annapurna region. Visit Tamchhog Lhakhang, Kuenselcholing View Point, Memorial Chorten, and Tashichho Dzong before checking in at the hotel. In the evening, stroll through Thimphu's main street and market area. After breakfast, take a hike to Cheri Monastery through the Dodina area and Jigme Dorji Wildlife Sanctuary. The monastery was built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1620 and is associated with Bhutan's first monk body. After breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochu La Pass, located at 3,088 meters and known for its prayer flags, mountain views, mani wall, and 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. Visit Punakha Dzong, also called the Palace of Great Happiness, located at the confluence of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Later take a short walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility. After breakfast, drive back to Paro via Dochu La. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, built in 1629 and regarded as one of Bhutan's oldest surviving dzongs. Continue through the Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys to Paro, a fertile and culturally rich valley surrounded by legends, temples, monasteries, and mountain scenery. Later visit Ta Dzong, now the National Museum, followed by Rinpung Dzong, the fortress of the heap of jewels, known for its Buddhist wall paintings and historic galleries. After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest, one of Bhutan's most famous and sacred monasteries. The monastery is perched on a cliff about 900 meters above the Paro Valley floor. The hike usually takes around five hours round trip, passing through pine forests and offering memorable views. Guests unable to hike to the top may walk up to the cafeteria viewpoint. Evening at leisure in Paro city centre for exploring handicraft shops and local farm products.
