Arrival in Bangalore, the vibrant capital of Karnataka and a major hub for India's IT industry. After completing border formalities, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy an orientation tour of Bangalore, a modern city known for broad, tree-shaded boulevards. Highlights include Bangalore Palace, the Bull Temple, the ISKCON Temple, and the white-marble Jama Masjid.
After breakfast, depart for Hassan with a stop at Sravana Belgola, an ancient Jain settlement known for its temples and the 19-meter monolithic statue of Gomata Raya on Indragiri Hill. Continue to Hassan and check in at the hotel. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Belur and Halebid to admire the Hoysala temples, including the Channakeshava Temple and the Hoysaleswara Temple, both known for intricate medieval craftsmanship.
After breakfast, proceed by road to Hospet, located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River and known as the gateway to the magnificent Hampi temples. Founded around 1520 AD, Hospet provides access to the grand remains of the ancient Vijayanagara Empire. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing or exploring the surrounding area.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Explore this open-air museum of Dravidian art and architecture, including the royal platform, Vittala Temple with its iconic stone chariot and musical pillars, Virupaksha Temple, Lotus Mahal, Royal Enclosure, Mahanavami Dibba, Queen's Bath, and King's Balance. Return to Hospet in the late afternoon.
After breakfast, drive to Badami en route visiting Aihole and Pattadakal, the latter recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Aihole, founded around 450 AD, was an ancient Chalukya capital and a major center of temple architecture. Continue to Pattadakal, known for its impressive Hindu temples, before driving onward to Badami and checking in at the best available hotel, offering simple yet comfortable accommodation.
After breakfast, explore Badami, famed for remarkable cave temples representing different faiths. The town is set amid horseshoe-shaped cliffs around the serene Bhutanantha Lake, whose green waters are traditionally believed to have healing qualities. Later, enjoy a relaxed walk around Agastya Lake and visit the lakeside Bhutanatha Temple, especially beautiful in the late afternoon. Continue by road to Hubli.
After an early breakfast, visit the ISKCON Temple at Rayapur in Hubli, followed by Siddharoodha Math, a sacred site dedicated to Swami Siddharoodha and associated with Advaita philosophy. Continue to Chandramouleshwar Temple, an intricately carved temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and believed to be around 900 years old. Conclude the Hubli sightseeing with the sunset view at Unakal Lake before transferring to Goa and checking in at the hotel.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. The entire day is at leisure for your own activities at the hotel or by the beach. Lunch is on your own. Spend the day relaxing, enjoying the coastal atmosphere, or exploring Goa at your own pace.
